COMMISSION FOR TRANSPORTED BY DESIGN FESTIVAL - LONDON REGENT ST
SUNDAY 3RD JULY 2016
The traffic-free day celebrated the rich design heritage of TFL and vehicle design from the past, present and future. There were a host of interactive exhibitions and Regent Street showcased the pioneering designs used everyday, highlighting their iconic presence within London. In collaboration with a sound artist and engineer, I designed an abstracted map of London's transport lines and icons to create an interactive sound map that was exhibited in Regent Street as part of the festival.

In this workshop, the emphasis was on the journey and not the destination.

WHAT COULD IT BE?
Residency Date: 25th Nov 2013 - 7 Dec 2013
Venue: Meantime Project Space, Cheltenham
Show Open: Fri 6th Dec - Sat 7 Dec
‘Inspiration does exist, but it must find you working.’ Pablo Picasso
Sources of inspiration can exist in many forms, and for three artists it revealed itself within their own social circle. This show celebrates how artists respond to each other, how together they can be united by common concept, yet separated still by the nature of practical creative process. Through the cross fertilisation of their practices new works are born; in responding to specific paintings and drawings created by members of the group, each artist has deliberately pushed the boundaries of the original medium by exploring physical space and challenging dimension.
Abbie Phillips, Lucie Beardwood, and Katie Tattersdill are currently Fine Art BA Hons students in their final year of study at The University Of Gloucestershire. They have grown together as artists within the university and are presently working towards their final degree show, which is to be held at Hardwick Studios in the summer of 2014.

OBSESSIONS
Curated by Susan Cridland
Date: 28 February - 05 March 2013
Venue: The Gardens Gallery, Montpellier, Cheltenham
The artwork showing in this exhibition is from four women ranging in age from their 20’s to 50’s, three of whom are local artists. They are all studying in the second year of the B.A. Fine Art course at the University of Gloucestershire. As this second year is a time of experimentation, it gives the viewer a chance to look ‘at work in progress’, such as sketchbooks, as well as final pieces of artwork. Some pieces may be finished, or they may later be added to or transformed in some way, or they may be part of a larger body of work that will emerge with time. The themes driving each artist are consistently expressed in their individual artwork. Hence the title ’Obsessions’.
